Yoram Ettinger, former ambassador to the United States as Israel's Minister of Congressional affairs will be our special guest at the Nassau Synagogue, joining congregants and interested guests on Shabbat morning for services and subsequent special kiddush in his honor on May 11 beginning at 10:00AM. He will speak and facilitate discussion during our normal Torah reading. This part of his presentation will be available via Zoom. He will then be available for more informal off-camera Q&A during our kiddush.

Yoram has over 40 years of experience as a researcher, diplomat, writer, lecturer and consultant to Israeli and US legislators and their staffers. He has retained his close connections with top Congressional officials and staffers by his regular month-long visits to the US several times a year. His weekly columns on US-Israel relations and Middle East affairs are disseminated to 10,000 movers & shakers in the US and 5,000 in Israel. He lives in Jerusalem with his wife Ora and they share 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Yoram can speak on and address a wide range of topics, many not covered by the international media outlets. For his visit to our shul he has recommended a few of areas of his expertise:
- Israel's contributions to the US and the mutual advantages of the long close US-Israel relationship
